Hidden Cottage

A hidden cottage, tucked in the backyard of a traditional Victorian, was in need of some vintage charm. The building once was the carriage house for the main dwelling and was converted to a residence after the 1906 earthquake. The cottage has been gradually rebuilt over the past century and the furnishings were chosen to highlight the soul and history of the place. I pulled inspiration from such stories as Anne of Green Gables, where a cozy cottage, a good book, and a fresh cup of tea is central to the day.
